CCG (Constance of Capital Gains)

The CCG (Constance of Capital Gains) is a central, hyper-capitalist, and influential institution that acts as a power structure and control mechanism for the many different Chunks—comparable to a medieval church, though without any religious connotations. It has a strong presence in various regions and works to secure control over the resources and inhabitants of the Chunks.

Thus, the CCG exerts significant political influence and manipulates conflicts to its advantage. A notable example of this is Rakwah, a domain in Oneiros and the birthplace of the Zera people. Here, the CCG is represented by two subfactions: the Free Capitalists of Rakwah (FCR) and the Legitimate Power in the Name of Kwenike (LPNK). These subfactions not only support the two warring native factions but also openly fight one another with the aim of being recognized as the “true” representatives of the CCG.

Such meddling in conflicts, economies, and social systems results in massive losses and destruction throughout the cosmos. The CCG repeatedly operates in similar ways: installing "aid organizations" that support extremist groups to create a market for their military forces—mostly R.E.D. The CCG often employs psychological-social tactics, such as appealing to personal or national honor, to recruit people from the diaspora for battles in order to avoid losing their own personnel. Additionally, social systems are subverted through capitalist tricks, like heavily monetized consumption, fostering competition, and manipulating fear of missing out (FOMO).

The CCG follows no fixed code. It is inherently opportunistic. As a cult-like hegemony, its sole purpose is the flow of money generated through various businesses and agreements between the many corporations, syndicates, and regencies of the sectors. The "market" is often elevated to a divine level, where the CCG is willing to sacrifice everything and everyone for profit maximization and the service of capital. In this regard, they even perceive and treat the market almost as an entity. At the same time, however, the CCG strives to place itself in control, attempting to dominate the market—usually through manipulation.

While the CCG does not have a strictly fixed hierarchy, there are ranks and so-called “callings” that indicate the role or task a member holds within the hegemony. Since the CCG is subject to the "spirit" of its members, it does not function smoothly under any circumstances. As a result, there are countless factions, orders, and powerful individuals within the hegemony who are in constant conflict with one another. To prevent the system from collapsing, the top 1% of the CCG have access to incredibly powerful political apparatuses and secret societies to guide the less powerful factions of the CCG to their will. This ring of the most powerful within the top 1% is in constant communication and is referred to as "The Solvent Synod." A particularly influential apparatus within this structure are the “Voti,” who serve as a shadow organization directly answering to the Highest Keepers of the Market (Solvent Synod).
