R.E.D. (Risk Evaluation & Defense)

R.E.D. (Risk Evaluation & Defense) is the partially military executive branch of the CCG, consisting of several hundred units of highly trained task forces ensuring the enforcement of CCG interests in its controlled territories, and sometimes even beyond.

R.E.D. has several subgroups and areas of operation, ranging from highly specialized military and security personnel tasked with guarding critical facilities, to regular police officers, city guards, and customs agents.

The degree of independence with which R.E.D. operates varies by region. In some areas, R.E.D. units are subordinate to local corporations that are part of the CCG, while in others, R.E.D. directly represents the interests of the Solvent Synod (the Supreme Council of the CCG).

Criticism: R.E.D. forces are notorious for their brutal and merciless actions. Their conduct is strictly guided by the will of the CCG, with no adherence to any code or conscience based on ethical foundations. This becomes particularly evident when R.E.D. units clash in corporate disputes. In such cases, it is even possible for units that fought for one side the day before to fight for the opposing side the next day.

R.E.D. follows a clear military structure. Squads form lines, lines form platoons, platoons form units, which then form large units, and these eventually become regional regiments. Within this structure, but not limited to regions, there are special forces within R.E.D. whose areas of operation are defined by their mission rather than geographic regions. These include military special operations forces deployed in crisis zones or investigative units.
